We say

Moving on from her dark and moody downtempo beginnings, Blackburn-born artist Charlotte OC is back with this gorgeous piece of alternative pop. It’s full of swirling synths and warm melodies, backed by an infectious beat, howling production and lush vocals reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac and Ladyhawke. Premiered by Billboard, Freedom has since picked up online praise from numerous blogs and will be interviewed on BBC Introducing this Saturday. Taken from her forthcoming EP Oh The Agony, Oh The Ecstasy, the track follows the single This Pain and marks a new independent chapter in her life. Previous tastemaker support has come from V Magazine, Paper and Clash, as well as support from Huw Stephens (Radio 1), Dermot O’Leary (Radio 2) and Spotify. Next month (30 April) you can catch her performing at Laylow in London, having previously supported Tom Walker and James Arthur on their European tours last year.
