London-based artist Cara Hammond is an artist that has hugely impressed us over the last 18 months with her RotD featured singles Try to Love You, Good Times and Such A Mess. It’s not only us, Clash, BBC London, BBC Introducing (Hotlist 2019), Spotify (11 NMF) and Apple Music have also supported her. Now back with her first new music of 2020 with this gorgeous cinematic blend of pop and soul, featuring soaring strings over a vinyl crackle and deep bass, Cara is starting the year off with another absolute gem. Written in Stockholm with writers Tom Goren and Caroline Ljungstrom, Ready For The Fall shows her distinct soulful vocals to full effect. With its mellow sound and hypnotic beat, it’s perfect for downtempo contextual playlists. Later this month, you can catch Cara play at PinUps (formerly The Islington) in London on 19 February and she has also just been confirmed to play Focus Wales Festival 2020 in May.
