Returning with this gorgeously revamped studio version of his 2017 acoustic streaming hit Be Your Man (over 28m streams) today is RotD favourite, Rhys Lewis. Featuring on 13 Spotify New Music Friday playlists and Apple Music’s New Music Daily, the track sees the Oxfordshire singer-songwriter turn the tender and soft original into a raw, powerful, and anthemic gospel-tinged pop number. Brimming with emotion and full of lush instrumental hooks, it’s a song that, we reckon, is tailor-made for radio so let’s hope Radio 1 follows up on its support after naming previous single, What If, its Track of the Week, as well as having been championed heavily by BBC Introducing too. He is currently on tour in the US opening for Julia Michaels on her US tour but will return to the UK next month for a headline tour across the UK, including a show at EartH in London on 25 November. With over 200m streams so far, and growing support here and in the US and Europe too, Rhys is on the tip of breaking into the mainstream and 2020 looks very bright for this talented artist.
