We can’t get enough of this furious blast of snarky indie-rock from Glaswegian songwriter and poet Declan Welsh and his band, The Decadent West. Formed in 2017, the group first caught the attention of many with their debut EP All My Dreams Are Dull and follow up single So It Goes last year, along with a number key performances at the Great Escape, Reeperbahn and a string of sold-out shows across Scotland. Now signed to Modern Sky, the band are preparing for the release of their Chris Marshall (Gerry Cinnamon, Baby Strange, The Dunts, The Van T's) produced debut album, Cheaply Bought, Expensively Sold, with the release of this chaotic and comical track. Upon release, No Fun was added to Spotify’s New Music Friday, The Indie List and The Rock List editorial playlists and has since been featured as Jack Saunders' Next Wave pick on Radio 1, as well as receiving plays from Radio X (John Kennedy) and Amazing Radio. Their hilarious video dropped earlier this week via The Skinny after the band finished their UK tour with a performance at Glastonbury. Witty, smart and punchy indie-rock from one of Scotland’s most promising new bands.
