Last August, we introduced you to Portsmouth’s indie-pop four-piece FLOWVERS since then the teenage group have continued to build their reputation as one of the most exciting new bands from the south coast, with support slots with Another Sky, Black Honey, and Youth Club. Their new single, Nosebleed, is a gloriously energetic and infectious slice of jangly ‘80s inspired indie-pop. It’s currently sitting on Radio X’s evening playlist, having been a John Kennedy Recommended Play, and has also received spins by Huw Stephens on BBC Introducing, as well as BBC Introducing Solent, who invited them in for a live session. Further tastemaker support has come from Spotify (NMF) for their previous singles Fresh Air (213k streams) and Long Way Home. Currently working with producer Gethin Pearson (JAWS, The Enemy) on new material for release later this year, the band are set to play the Old Blue Last in London on 30 July and at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth in August, prior to a headline UK tour in October/November. In the meantime, just hit play and think back to misspent summers past on this future indie anthem.
