Bigger Than Us
With the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv just over three weeks away, 21 year old Michael Rice from Hartlepool is getting ready for the biggest TV performance of his life with this supreme pop power ballad. It’s not the first time the young singer has been watched by millions. Earlier this year, he was chosen to represent the UK after winning the Eurovision: You Decide competition, having previously won the BBC’s 2018 All Together Now TV show and made it to X Factor’s 2014 Bootcamp stage. Written by John Lundvik, Laurell Barker, Jonas Thander and Anna-Klara Folin, Bigger Than Us is a deeply uplifting number and a song that should easily connect with TV audiences across Europe with Michael’s powerful vocals, full of heart and hope, leading the way. Already clocking up over 640k streams, we expect to see this rise dramatically over the coming weeks too, with streaming services adding it to their contextual mood playlists and smart speaker requests ramping up as the TV show nears. In the run-up to his Tel Aviv performance, Michael will be performing on the Graham Norton Show on Friday 3 May and Lorraine the following Wednesday, so there's plenty of time to catch him on UK screens before the Grand Final. We wish him all the best.
