Cork singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist LYRA paints a rather dark brand of electronic pop in her gorgeous new single Falling. Having spent the last year honing her sound, writing with the likes of Phil Cook (Birdy, Ellie Goulding), Carey Willetts (Dermot Kennedy) and Braque (Rag'n'Bone Man, Bastille), this is her first release since her self-released Rupert Christie (Coldplay, Aurora) produced debut EP, W.I.L.D. Released last Friday, the track is a dramatic and striking number with its swooping orchestral movements, tribal percussion and lush electronic production offering a rich soundbed for LYRA’s stunning vocals to soar. It was immediately added to Spotify UK’s New Music Friday as well as Apple Music’s Best of the Week, Deezer’s Brand New and Amazon Music’s new music playlists. Further tastemaker support has come from Clash, the Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, RTE 2FM and the Irish Times, who named her as one of their Nine Best New Irish Artists. With more new music to come in 2019, expect to hear a lot more from this talented Irish artist.
