With R&B-flecked sounds riding high in charts across the globe, emerging Detroit artist Apropos returns with this slick and sultry dose of neo-soul. Having featured his debut single, She Makes Me back in July, Talk Like That continues to build on the smooth soulful vibes, but this time through a late ‘90s and early ‘00s R&B/pop crossover filter. With echoes of early Justin Timberlake and the soulful vibes of Bruno Mars, the track swaggers with a pop sensibility as Apropos sings of love and longing alongside a sharp verse from rising UK grime MC, Isaiah Dreads. Produced by labelmates AZTX who co-wrote the track with Danny Wilkin from Rixton, Talk Like That premiered with Atwood Magazine last week and is his second single to be taken from his upcoming debut album, (Verse)atility! With further online tastemaker support from the likes of Clash, New Wave District, Yack and Vents, Apropos is steadily making a name for himself with his soulful voice and emotive tunes here and in Detroit.
