With over 21m streams for her debut single, Don’t Need No Money and a UK Top 5 hit with Sigala on Say You Do (63m streams), 18-year-old west London pop sensation and songwriter Imani Williams dropped this sexy and smooth summer tune last Friday. Produced by Show n Prove, Sigala and ADP, the track samples a rework of the classic ‘00s R&B tune of the same name by The 411 in this fresh take. Full of attitude and featuring guest vocals from afro-swing trailblazers Belly Squad and rising UK rapper Tiggs Da Author, the track has been heavily supported on streaming services with Spotify adding it to its Summer Hits, This Is How We Do and 15 New Music Friday playlists, whilst Apple Music has included it on Best of the Week, Afro Swing, Breaking Pop and Breaking R&B. With early radio support from Jamz Supernova on BBC 1Xtra and tastemaker support from the likes of Notion, Pentagon and House of Solo, Dumb is shaping up to be a late summer hit.
