Left And Right
It’s been a great year so far for 8.5m streamed 22-year-old singer-songwriter and RotD favourite Jerry Williams. Having represented the cream of BBC Introducing talent at SXSW, performed three shows at the Great Escape (including a packed out Komedia gig), and chosen by Topshop as one of the brand's favourite new musicians, she is back with this absolute belter. Slightly different from her usual indie-pop material, Left And Right is a foot-stomping slice of Americana-infused guitar pop that has been a firm live favourite since 2014. Produced by Luke Smith (Crystal Fighters/Foals) and co-written with Newton Faulkner and his brother Toby, the track has already featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday and A Perfect Day editorial playlists, as well as on Sunday Brunch, BT TV, and BBC Introducing Solent. With festival appearances at Neighbourhood, 110 Above and Victorious lined up for later this summer, the Portsmouth singer is currently scheduling a headline tour for this October, as well as planning on releasing two new EPs over the next year. Jerry has again proved to us what a talent she is. We are not quite sure how she does it but this is one artist with a knack for consistently producing gloriously infectious earworms and this one will have you hollering along in no time at all.
