We say

When you think of Nashville, your thoughts automatically turn to the country music that drives the beating heart of the city musically. Well, Nashville resident John-Luke Carter, aka Mokita, is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer looking to change that. Having trained as a classical pianist in his youth, he taught himself the guitar before eventually learning about and moving into production. Since then, he has amassed over 31.5m combined streams on Spotify for his buoyant electronic-based pop, including 12m plays for his fantastic single Monopoly and over 3.5m for his last release, When I See You. His latest single, Love Alone, released at the end of May, is a gorgeous slice of tender dance-pop laden with romance and emotion. Upon release, the track was included on seven Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists and has since been added to their editorial playlists, Young, Wild & Free, New Pop Sounds and Music For A Workday. Additional streaming support has come from inclusions on personal artist playlists from Steve Aoki and R3HAB. This gentle and heart-warming single has all the right ingredients for people to fall head over heels in love with. And one thing’s for sure, Nashville is not just about country music anymore.
