The first thing that grabs your attention with Dangerous is the raw and beautiful voice of 19-year-old singer-songwriter, Amy Montgomery. Honed from relentless busking throughout Ireland, her vocals seem to channel the spirit of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick in this gorgeous, ‘60s inspired folk song. Based in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, Amy recorded the track with local producer Michael Mormecha who blissfully blends gently strummed acoustic guitars with soaring string orchestrations and rich electric licks. Released this coming Friday, Dangerous has already received spot plays on BBC Northern Ireland and Bob Harris’s 6 Music show and will surely attract more daytime plays, as well as playlist additions over the coming weeks. Having recently performed at Dublin’s Ruby Sessions, Amy will be performing her first ever London shows tonight (26 Feb) at The Bedford and tomorrow (27 Feb) at the Islington supporting Cormac Neeson. Simply mesmerising.
