We were instantly hooked by OH, the superb new single from Scottish alt-pop band Dancing On Tables. Hailing from Dunfermline and formed in their final year of school this young quintet will appeal to fans of global bands like The Cure and The Killers. With a nod to early Coldplay and radio friendly Snow Patrol, OH's atmospheric opening reverberates with dreamy guitar plucks and a rhythmic drum beat. Written about the challenges of maintaining a long distance relationship, the melancholic anthem builds to a soaring chorus encircled with a swirling energy and chiming bells. Wonderland magazine premiered the creative video on release and with such a polished sound and engaging hooks OH is primed to attract airplay and be added to indie, mellow and anthemic playlists. The band will be taking their infectious live show to Glasgow and Newcastle before the year is out and they'll be in London at Luna Lounge Bar on 6 January 2018. We're obviously excited to share today's track, but a polite word of warning before pressing play, this song could remain in your head for days.
