We say

The beautifully acoustically strummed Gold Dust, is taken from singer-songwriter Chris Simmons’ new double A-sided release with Deepest Wound. Lyrically, both of these songs explore the themes of loss and acceptance that for Chris has been a cathartic experience after tragically losing his brother four years ago. In 2015, after having toured the world with Passenger, Kate Nash and Suzanne Vega and gaining praise from the likes of The Times and Time Out he decided to take a break and travelled to India to come to terms with his grief. It is here, whilst recuperating that he started to write again. Having now finished writing a new album and attracting co-writes with Mike Kerr from Royal Blood and Chris Difford, he is ready to showcase his amazing new material. With its ethereal feel and rich vocal harmonies, Gold Dust is already receiving radio plays from across the BBC regions (Scotland, Wales, Ulster) and tastemaker press for the release has come from the Metro, Killing Moon and XYZ. Chris will be heading out on a mini European tour in October. For fans of Damien Rice, Sufjan Stevens and Jeff Buckley.
