We say

Lauran Hibberd is a 20-year old singer-songwriter from the Isle of Wight who first started picking up attention with The House I Built When I Was Small, her debut single at the start of last year. That seemingly simple acoustic song showed great hidden depths just below the surface and received airplay from Tom Robinson at BBC 6 Music, a slot on Radio 1 as part of a BBC Introducing takeover from Sophie Little, and selected shows across Radio X, Soho Radio and Amazing Radio. More recently, she’s released a four-track EP, recorded at Studio Hamburg in east Cowes and this title song from it describes how happiness often comes tinged with sadness, with love and loss inextricably linked as the innocence of youth fades. A recent Facebook live stream reached over 60,000 views and she’s fresh from supporting Clean Cut Kid at a gig last month. Coming up, she’s bagged herself a Bestival main stage slot on September 10 and expect more live dates to come alongside her next single at the end of the summer. Crisply produced by Boe Weaver, this gorgeous gem will easily brighten your day.
