We say

Since he was at school in Gloucestershire, Joe Jury has been writing songs, and the nostalgic stories of his formative years are neatly brought to life on this debut EP title track. Produced by his best friend over the past decade, musical collaborator LostBoy, it’s a four-song collection with some beautifully crafted moments, inspired by Joe’s love of heavy folk but with an '80s pop twist at times. There’s a maturity and skill on display here that shows he has a canny knack for writing personal, memorable tunes that impress on the very first listen. As well as launching his own career, he’s also writes toplines for other acts, so his skills are in demand across the industry. He’s supported Laura Doggett, shared the stage with Sundara Karma at last year’s Kendal Calling Festival, and plays London gigs soon supporting Otis Stimpson on March 9 at The Islington, and KYKO on March 29 at The Joiners, plus a few summer festival shows yet to be announced. Currently seeking publishing interest and live representation, Joe’s talents seem beyond doubt and this excellent song shows them off admirably.
