LeRiche is a 22 year old musician from Port aux Basques, a small town in Newfoundland, Canada. His passion for music began when he was just a year old, stretching his fingers out on a six-string and now manifests itself in this strikingly beautiful song. The inspiration for it came about in the aftermath of a heavy North Atlantic storm that hit the coast of the island one night whilst Brad was performing in a play. The lyric tells how he was struck by the sight through an exit door of a beautiful girl in the parking lot that evening, dancing carefree the rain, all by herself, whilst everyone else ran for cover. It was an innocent moment of freedom and fearfulness that created this compelling track. We adore his voice here too. Heartfelt and emotional, it's perfectly complimented by acoustic guitar, string quartet, percussion and the natural sound of the elements outside, recorded in a Toronto studio and captured through an open window. Taken from his debut EP Quiet Steady, which is set for release around spring 2016, this is a dazzling introduction to a captivating new artist.
