We say

The title track from Pete Lawrie's new EP, All That We keep serves as an endearing introduction to the Welsh artist. There's a warm, old-fashioned vibe from the sentinment of the song as well as the production. A true DIY artist, Lawrie does his own artwork, makes his own videos, produces (he produced this track alongside Rollo Armstrong from Faithless) and recorded parts of his debut album in numerous bedrooms. He even made two remixes of this track under different aliases which are on the EP, including one featuring Canadian rapper Shad. Those are accompanied by a Jay-Z cover (Song Cry) with Lauren Pritchard, and a new track written with Fyfe Dangerfield. After early support from Rob da Bank, further Radio 1 coverage has come from Huw Stephens, Bethan Elfyn and Jo Whiley who interviewed him live when he played the BBC Introducing tent at Radio 1's Big Weekend. Having played a sold-out gig at The Social recently, further UK dates are on their way in July and August. Watch the video.

London gigs: July 29 Blag Club at Notting Hill Arts Club W11 /July 31 No Times For Heroes at Queen Of Hoxton EC2A
