Full disclosure: Our music consultant Joe Taylor manages Beatbullyz. Beatbullyz have the potential to be another success story for the BBC's burgeoning Introducing brand. Earlier this year, they sold out a 700 capacity venue in their hometown of Swindon, at which point barely anyone in the industry had heard of them. Then Radio 1's Big Weekend came to town and they had hundreds of kids who couldn't get into the Introducing tent. They've since done a Maida Vale session for Huw Stephens and they were the main support on Example's UK tour. With a well-attended YoYo gig last week, they play Club NME at Koko later this month. Their first single Golden City successfully sorts an uplifting melody, a memorable refrain and a very modern and commercial urban/pop crossover sound.
