True Live are a Melbourne-based six-piece whose second album Found Lost was released in Australia earlier this month to great reviews. Successfully blending jazz and hip hop and a myriad of other influences in between, this track stood out on first listen. Held together by frontman (writer, producer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and rapper) Ryan ‘Rhyno’ Ritchie, they are an unusual prospect, but tracks like this and first single from the album Something to Be confirm that their ambitious fusion experiment has worked. Currently gaining rotation on Triple J at home, the album is available to license ex Australia/New Zealand. JF
