18 year-old Pixie Lott starts her career with the advantage of working with some top talents. For example, her assured and infectious debut single Mama Do enlists the help of songwriters Phil Thornalley (a writer on Natalie Imbruglia's Torn) and Mads Hauge, while producers on her album include Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen), Red One (Lady Gaga) and Toby Gad (Beyonce). Early press & radio has been promising too, with Dan Cairns' piece in Sunday Times Culture calling her 'the most authentic pop voice in years'. Jo Whiley has played it on Radio 1 and she is lined up for the Switch show this week. Pixie is also set to participate in a 'Radio 2 Introduces...' session and her own online mini-series for Bebo.
