Love Get Out Of My Way

Artist: Milke
Label: Gulp
Impact date: March 16
ROTD featured date: Tuesday 24 February 2009

We say

We first featured Milke with 'Maybe I'm Crazy' back in July last year. A&R and tastemaker buzz greeted those demos back then, and this follow-up is equally as addictive. This comes out on Gulp, the label run by one half of Milke's founding duo Andrew 'Friendly' Kornweibel. The tracks we've heard from the material recorded for their forthcoming debut album are equally as strong and suitable for radio - this is currently on the B-list at 6Music. Paul Lester in Guardian New Band Of The Day noted last month that "If Michael Hutchence had lived to collaborate with Justice, he might have made a record like Love Get Out of My Way", high praise indeed. Milke are available for records and publishing. Radio plugger is Emily at Scruffy Bird. JF London gig: March 5, YoYo at Notting Hill Arts Club W11
