The first release from Bridgette Amofah is a double A-side led by this track - a classy and confident-sounding debut. Also a regular lead-vocalist with the group Oi Va Voi, her solo work seems to have been sharpened with the help of producers Dan Carey (Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip, Kylie) and The Rural (Gorillaz, Jamie T), who produced this single. In recent times she has supported Sebastien Tellier in London and Paris, while finishing songs for her debut album. There's also plenty of live action, starting with tonight's single launch and forthcoming support slots with Mr Hudson and Candi Staton on her UK dates in February.
