It's a great time for British black music. Estelle, Dizzee Rascal and Wiley have all hit number one with fantastic, original, pop records, but the surprise star to come out of this recent flurry could be Ironik. He has loads of great hooks, a fantastically commercial sound and huge charisma too. First single Stay With Me had the highest mobile sales in the top 200, the highest physical sales in the top 200 and the highest digital bundle sales in top 200, proving he has the pocket money and ears of Britain's youth. It spent four weeks in the official Top 10, despite never breaking the iTunes Top 10. His new single I Wanna Be Your Man samples Zapp and was endorsed by the surviving brother from that group, Terry Troutman. It sounds like a big hit. JTContact
