Since we last featured 16 year-old Gabriella Cilmi, radio have come on board early with Capital adding Sweet About Me seven weeks up front, while R1 support has come from Jo Whiley. A live session on George Lamb's 6Music show and an appearance on BBC TV show Sound are lined up this week. It has also been added to The Box. The album, Lessons To Be Learned, was produced by Xenomania, so while this track shows Cilmi's excellent bluesy voice, there are more strong pop moments to come from her. She has also been confirmed as the face of Boots No.17 cosmetics range, which pitches her directly to a young pop audience. Gabriella's first UK tour with Nouvelle Vague kicks off next week.
