Manchester-based singer-songwriter, Doug Walker has sparked interest from the radio-listening public and industry alike with a determined act of self-promotion. The story goes that Walker handed Chris Moyles a CD early one morning outside Radio 1. The Mystery was then played three times on the show that same morning and listener reactions were huge. Now with management in place, a deal seems close for Walker. Putting the story aside, as nice as it is, this song is structurally a great piece of work, with brilliantly layered melodies and intelligent songwriting.
