New York rapper Pharoahe Monch returns with Desire, his first album proper in eight years. Guests on it include Erykah Badu and Denaun Porter (D-12). Porter is one of the production team which also includes prolific hip hop producer The Alchemist. Body Baby is Jo Whiley's Pet Sound on Radio 1 this week and has also been Zane Lowe's 'Hottest record in the world'. It is also on the Capital playlist. This is an outward-looking and multi-layered piece of hip hop with its roots in many genres, and it's all the more admirable for that. Watch the video here.
