We say

Fight Like Apes are a fantastic Dublin-based four piece. Distorted keyboards, percussion, synths and the wonderfully shouty and piercing vocal of May Kay makes them one of the most interesting Irish bands to emerge in recent years. It's all the more exciting when you consider that they have only been playing live for the past six months. We love the aggressive delivery of the sometimes bizarre, sometimes heartfelt lyrics. The influences quoted are Pavement, Yo La Tengo and My Bloody Valentine, which belies their thoroughly new-wave sound (or pure pop on the equally wonderful "Lend Me Your Face" - listen to it on their MySpace). Their debut EP "How Am I Supposed To Kill You If You Have All The Guns?" will be released through Irish indie Fifa Records on May 18, just as label interest elsewhere is swelling.
