Rise is the debut single proper from Ben's Brother. Beauty Queen, the previous set-up record, received support across Radio 2, Capital and the GCap network (as well as being a RotD-featured track). The band is fronted by Jamie Hartman whose rasping vocal style conjures up reminders of everyone from Rod Stewart to Elton John. Just added to the Radio 2 playlist, Rise is well-produced, accessible and unpretentious fare that should find a large audience. Ben's Brother embark on their first full UK tour on May 7 and an album, Beta Male Fairytales is due out in June. What we've heard so far shows great promise. JF London Gig: 21 May, The Luminaire NW6
