Candie Payne is a Liverpool-born singer signed to Deltasonic who has been tipped for great things for 2007, which sees the release of her debut album. Candie is the younger sibling in a talented family which boasts singer/songwriter Howie and Sean, the drummer for the Zutons. From what we've heard so far, it's pretty much perfect pop music. It's big and bold with '60s influences ranging from Dusty Springfield to Phil Spector but with enough of a contemporary edge to make it hugely appealing. Early radio support has come from Jo Whiley.
