LA-based Australian band The Sick Puppies are making a name for themselves with this song by being the soundtrack to a video on YouTube which has captured people's imaginations. The track appears over a short film depicting the 'Free Hugs' campaign, which has almost 5m views. It has also lead to huge media interest including an appearance by the band on Oprah and an article in The Times. Immediate success in their native country saw the track leap to no2 on the iTunes rock chart, and garner adds from regional radio. Their large, anthemic rock sound reminds us of Nickelback, which is no bad thing. Their fan base is expanding and a new album is gathering interest from many US labels. JFContact
