Freshlyground consists of seven musicians from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe who formed in Cape Town in 2002. This incredibly catchy single was last yearââ¬â¢s big radio hit in South Africa. Itââ¬â¢s from their second album, Nomvula, which is triple platinum in South Africa. They signed to Sony BMG Africa late last year, and now plans for Europe are in place. A recent appearance on GMTV has ramped up public interest in Freshlyground over here. This is a wonderfully upbeat, infectiously groovy song with the potential to be a staple on UK radio too.
