We say

We last featured Glasgow's Unkle Bob in March 2005 with the utterly infectious The Hit Parade. They're back with this, their first nationwide single, released through their own Friendly Sounds label. This has their trademark melody, and an instantly familiar feel about it. The subject and the vocal are an enticing mixture of sunshine and melancholy, or as The Scotsman newspaper put it, "The Bob have a singer who sounds like Nick Drake whispering secrets into Ray Davies' ear". It has already received specialist spot plays on BBC 1 Scotland, 6Music and regional BBC stations. LA's KCRW has also played this, as has Xfm Scotland, where the band will soon feature in session.
