We say

Staff picks of 2005: today - Joe Taylor During 2005, Push The Button by the Sugababes proved pop still sells millions if you make the right record. Green Day did everything right and had the comeback of 2005, but My Chemical Romance wrote the two rock songs of the year for me - Helena and I'm Not Okay (I Promise). This was a bad year for dance - even X-Press 2's wonderful Give It didn't really sell. When British artists ruled the world, it was thanks to songs like You're Beautiful by James Blunt. We need more of these in 2006. The Feeling and Orson will both be unstoppable in the coming year. Shoreline, as recorded by Anna Ternheim (who is still unreleased in the UK) and Oxygen by Willy Mason were the two songs whose lyrics I printed out and stuck on my wall. And my favourite of the year was this brutal but beautiful album track by David Ford.
