Disintegrate

We say
We’ve been captivated by Halifax-born Ellur since we first featured her in 2021 with ‘Moments’, and her third single of 2025, ‘Disintegrate’, confirms she’s now operating on an entirely different level. The Yorkshire artist delivers an atmospheric, cathartic reflection on the cost of people-pleasing — a genuine emotional reckoning charged with tension and self-awareness. Building from quiet, contemplative moments underscored by sparse percussion and gentle piano into a powerful eruption of guitars and drums, it’s a striking display of vulnerability and control in equal measure. That raw honesty has clearly resonated. Following acclaimed singles ‘Missing Kid’ and ‘The Wheel’, and her lauded 2025 EP ‘God Help Me Now’ — praised by NME, Consequence of Sound, Dork, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, and Clash — Ellur has become a regular fixture on BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Gemma Bradley, Jess Iszatt, Mollie King, Sian Eleri’s Next Wave premiere) and BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Chris Hawkins, Emily Pilbeam, Tom Robinson). She’s also landed prominent Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, plus syncs on Love Island, Made in Chelsea, and Amazon’s The Summer I Turned Pretty. With new music on the horizon and a debut headline UK tour already selling out, including tomorrow night’s Camden Assembly show, Ellur’s unflinching portraits of life in her early 20s mark her as one of the most authentic and compelling new voices in British indie.
