WE SAY
M.O. made Radio 1’s In New Music We Trust playlist and iTunes Top 25 back in August with former Record Of The Day, Dance On My Own. Now comes a very cool collaboration with London-born producer and remixer Linden Jay which sees them give a stylish contemporary makeover to a vintage Destiny’s Child 1999 Top 10 hit. Blowing up rapidly, despite being a Soundcloud-only release, Nick Grimshaw has already played it on his Radio 1 Breakfast show, along with Annie Mac too and Alice Levine when she recently stood in for Fearne Cotton. M.O. have just returned from the US, where they signed a publishing deal with Rondor/Universal and spent a month on the west coast working with Kendrick Lamar’s producer Rahki and DJ Mustard, Steadily taking their time with their music and setting things up nicely for 2015, we reckon NME’s assertion that these girls are the new British TLC is far from pure hype.
