Aquilo
Losing You

Island Records

WE SAY

This stunning track from chilled electronic duo Aquilo received its exclusive first play from Huw Stephens at Radio 1 on Monday evening. Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher hail from the Lancashire coast and this beautiful and affecting song is a shimmering, stripped-back affair where the heart-felt emotional story of loss is starkly laid bare in front of us. The lads were impressive at Glastonbury during the summer with several tastemaker blogs declaring them amongst the highlights of the BBC Introducing stage. Since then, their songs have built up over 1.5 million plays both on Spotify and Soundcloud, broadsheet music journalists have been frothing with excited praise over what they’ll deliver next and we look forward to future London live shows, especially after their sold-out St. Pancras Church gig a few weeks ago. For two chaps so young to deliver music this glorious so early into their career, you have to consider them to be one of 2015’s hottest breakthrough prospects for success worldwide.
