Cari Cari
ANAANA

Bohemian Vienna

WE SAY

Featuring on the latest Guinness ad campaign ‘Liberty Fields’, celebrating the pioneering Japanese women’s rugby team (watch here), is this stirring rock number by Austrian duo Cari Cari. Described as “the lovechild of The Kills and The XX” by Indie Shuffle, Stephanie Widmer aka Louise Yamamoto (vocals, drums & didgeridoo) and Alexander Koeck (vocals, guitars) released their debut album ANAANA last November. Last week they premiered this striking video with the NME to tie in with the campaign's release. With its pounding drums, driving guitar riffs, and Indian vocal chants, the track is a decidedly addictive rock gem with a touch of Ennio Morricone about it too. Dramatic, alluring and emotive, it's easy to hear why Guinness chose the track for their new campaign and with an album full of like-minded gems, it wouldn't surprise us to hear other tracks being synced soon.
