Distribution Agreements signed with 8 Head, Casa Nueve, Bawo and Folded Music

 

Zebralution, one of the world’s leading independent digital distributors, has announced a number of new artist and label deals as it continues to build out its ongoing commitment to providing exceptional services to artists and labels worldwide. 

Acclaimed independent labels 8 Head, Casa Nueve, Folded Music and independent artist Bawo have all signed international agreements with Zebralution’s London based division, which is headed by the company’s Head of International Business Development William Hallström.

8 Head is a new imprint launched by legendary UK underground electronic producer Gerry Read who is best known for his Pete Tong Essential Tune of the Year “It’ll All Be Over”, various collaborations with renowned German producer DJ Koze, and the cult classic album Jummy.The label is home to a highly curated selection of releases, and the label will be announcing several new signings in the near future. 

casa nueve is an independent record label and global creative studio based between London and Barcelona. Developing and supporting projects led by multidisciplinary artists worldwide, they place a strong emphasis on collaboration and cultural exchange augmented through curated events, pop-ups, and community gatherings rooted in music, literature, and visual arts.  Artists on the label include Uma; a rising force in alt-pop, who has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Puma Blue, Nilüfer Yanya, and Rosie Lowe, and SALPA; a Catalonia-based artist blending jazz, indie, and experimental electronics.

Founded in Brighton but now operating out of the UK and Paris, Folded Music is a modern record label and music publisher founded and managed by Alex McCall. Its roster features an eclectic mix of forward-thinking electronic and jazz acts, including: Asta Hiroki, Bon-Psy, Catch92, Fthmlss, Tristan De Liege and Woodini.

Bawo is one of the most distinctive emerging voices in London’s music scene; an artist whose genre-bending sound has quickly set him apart. Drawing on rap, garage, grime, and soul, he crafts music that feels both innovative and timeless, weaving sharp lyricism with a deeply reflective edge. Bawo channels heritage, ambition and everyday life into songs that resonate with honesty and vision. His 2023 breakthrough project Legitimate Cause showcased his ability to pair clever wordplay with memorable melodies, earning him acclaim from fans and tastemakers alike.
