Women's leadership programme Music Leaders Network announces first international programme with a pan-Nordic network

Women's leadership programme Music Leaders Network announces first international programme with a pan-Nordic network - Music Leaders Network Nordic.

Music Leaders Network, the highly-regarded professional development programme for women* in music, has launched Music Leaders Network Nordic - the first international version of its successful UK programme, now in its 4th year.

Created for women and non-binary people in the Nordic Region, the programme will commence Tuesday 6th February 2024. It is the first dedicated international version of the network and will build on key aspects from the UK programme, with a specific Nordic slant.

Over six months, the cohort of 12 participants will receive a combination of one-on-one, group and peer-to-peer coaching that will encompass leadership and communication styles, working to your values and executing a vision, with a specific focus on building a pan-Nordic network of women in leadership in the music industry.

Previous participants have included employees from FUGA, Polydor, September Management, PRS Foundation, and MERLIN..

When surveyed, 91% of the women who participated in Music Leaders Network said they were now more confident in their leadership abilities. Across those surveyed, an average of a 66% increase in income 1 year post-programme was reported.**

Led by Remi Harris and Tamara Gal-On, the initiative aims to transform the career development of women with between 5-25 years experience in the music industry.

Described as "life-changing" and "the most valuable programme I have ever attended", many previous members have benefitted from a significant elevation in their career progression, confidence, effectiveness and incomes.

Speaking about the expansion of the programme to the Nordic region, co-founders Remi Harris and Tamara Gal-On said:

"For our first international iteration of Music Leaders Network, a Nordic cohort is a natural fit. Nomex and the individual countries across the region have established an amazing collaborative network and export partnership, especially with the UK. We want to build on that work. Music is an international business and Music Leaders Network needs to reflect this to create opportunities for its current and future members. We want to facilitate all our participants to engage across the industry, regardless of the country in which they are based. It's our goal to see more women in leadership in the music industry. And we want those women to succeed in those roles. Music Leaders Network provides the support that helps them to be successful."

There are just 12 places available in this cohort and applications are open now. The programme will run from 6th February 2024 to June/July 2024.
