WMA announce the appointment of Martin Kandja Kabamba as Director of Social & Digital Marketing and Charlie Pollard, Director of Social as joint heads of WMA’s UK & Europe Social & Digital Marketing team



Global digital marketing and creative agency, WMA are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Kandja Kabamba as Director of Social & Digital Marketing and Charlie Pollard, Director of Social as joint heads of WMA’s UK & Europe Social & Digital Marketing team, based in London, effective immediately.

WMA are specialists in fostering unique and meaningful relationships between talent and audiences – consistently resulting in remarkable, award-winning campaigns. Martin and Charlie join the team with broad and extensive Social and Digital Marketing experience and will be an integral part of WMA’s growth as it continues to expand globally.

Martin joins WMA from Hype Lab where he spent close to 4 years as Senior Social Specialist and Brand Social Director, achieving success working across artist accounts including Galantis, Wilkinson, Gorgon City, MK, Orbital and Jax Jones. Martin’s culture first experience has not been limited to artist socials with success across the brand accounts for UKF, Geffen Records, Atlantic UK, Polydor, R&S Records as well as driving 200K followers across Ministry of Sound’s social accounts. In his new role, Martin will lead WMA’s social and digital marketing offering across the UK and Europe alongside additional Director of Social, Charlie Pollard.

I’m excited to bring fresh and innovative energy into the social and digital landscape with a strong focus on unlocking artists creativity through short form video, taking our divisions first steps into the film and TV space in 2023 whilst utilising our cross-departmental capacity to develop ground-breaking 360 digital campaigns.”

Charlie Pollard joins WMA from his previous role as UK Account Director at Beautiful where he worked across key accounts from names such as U2, Liam Payne, James Arthur and Clean Bandit. With multiple years of hands-on experience as a tour manager, Charlie’s understanding of an artist’s day to day and their relationship with socials is comprehensive. From developing marketing strategies achieving no.1 records, to selling over 150,000 tickets to a series of virtual shows and successfully developing trends across social platforms, Charlie has developed a detailed understanding of all corners of the digital and social landscape. With his role at WMA, Charlie launched the agency’s’ “Social Creator” service; connecting talent with TikTok first video creators who work alongside them to create vertical content that best suit both the artist and campaign needs.  Charlie comments:

In addition to developing the vertical content arm of the business; Charlie and Martin are also preparing to launch wider community service offerings including Discord management.
