Wise Music Group signs publishing deal with Misia Furtak

Polish musician, artist, and activist Misia Furtak has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with Berlin-based Bosworth Music GmbH, part of Wise Music Group

Misia Furtak is an awarded musician and activist known for her distinctive voice and fearless artistic range. She received the prestigious Paszport Polityki for ‘a skilful combination of strength and delicacy that is both independent and a hit’. Furtak combines working her indie magic with jazz, modern classical and Polish rap giants. Critics compare her with the likes of Cat Power, PJ Harvey and Feist, artists known for emotional rawness. Her 2021 album Wybory features sharp political commentary, and her symbolic track “Agata” — 33 seconds of silence — drew national attention for its critique of political silence. Constantly evolving, Misia moves seamlessly between solo projects, collaborations, and unexpected features — all while maintaining a distinct voice that feels both timeless and forward-thinking. She is currently working on new material, planned for 2026.
In 2022, Misia Furtak was selected for the Keychange network - a pioneering, international organisation whose goals are to support women and gender minorities in music and to build a more sustainable music industry. She also led the Polish chapter of Music Declares Emergency. She has played in Europe and Japan, alongside The National, Arlo Parks, TV On the Radio, and many others.
