Wide Days showcase line-up announced
17 March 2017 - Press releaseWide Days is pleased to announce the line-up for this year’s showcases, which take place in Edinburgh venues Teviot Row House, La Belle Angele and the Liquid Room on Friday 21 April.
Presented in partnership with Eventbrite and supported by the PRS Foundation, the shows will provide a snapshot of some of Scotland’s most exciting emerging acts.
The bill was selected from some 200 applications in consultation with promoters, journalists and A&R scouts and includes Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, Emme Woods, JR Green, The Ninth Wave, The Spook School, The Vegan Leather and Vistas.
“Wide Days has established a reputation for showcasing some great emerging acts and this year is no exception,” says the event’s co-director, Michael Lambert. “We’ve seen many of our previous performers go on to tour internationally, sign record deals and build careers in the industry. Our aim is to help 2017’s artists follow in their footsteps”.
Previous performers include Honeyblood, C Duncan, Fatherson, Be Charlotte, Elle Exxe and award-winning Kathryn Joseph.

Thanks to a PRS Foundation grant, this year’s Wide Days offers a package of additional support for all the showcase acts including mentoring, enhanced production and a range of promotional assets.
