West One Music Group appoints Dej Mahoney as Non-Executive Chairman

 Dej Mahoney is appointed as Non-Executive Chairman, working closely with the Board to continue laying the foundations for future growth
 

West One Music Group is delighted to announce that long-term supporter and advisor, Dej Mahoney, has joined the team as their Non-Executive Chairman.

With recent multi-territory expansions in Latin America, Australia, USA and the Nordics, alongside the launch of a new Custom division, futureproofing and supporting continued growth is a key focus for the Board at West One Music. The appointment of Dej enables the leading global independent music company to continue this successful worldwide expansion, whilst focusing on specialist market knowledge and territory-specific experience.  

Originally a graduate in law from Cambridge University, Dej has over 30 years of experience within the music and media industries, including nearly a decade leading Business Affairs at Sony Music UK. Dej is a trustee on the Governing Board of the BRIT School for the Performing Arts and is a founding director of All Our Business Ltd (AOB), a boutique legal and business consultancy in music, entertainment and related sectors. 

Dej's appointment is part of West One Music's wider five-year strategy, that also includes expansion of their sales and production network and the enlargement of the royalties and finance teams in support of the international growth. Matt Blondek, previously at PWC, joined as Group Chief Accountant earlier in the year to bring his experience to the expansion plans and to drive the development and integration of West One Music's business processes and technology.
