Warner Music buys Skorpioni Music's catalogue

Independent label's strong legacy in Finnish music will endure

This is a significant transition in the local industry as Warner Music Finland will now be responsible for the distribution, administration, licensing, and promotion of Skorpioni's repertoire to new audiences. 

Skorpioni redefined what a record company could look and sound like in Finland.  It was known for its uncompromising vision, brave artist choices, and ability to bring forth new voices, many of whom have grown into key figures of their generation, with signings over the years including the likes of ibe, MELO, Turisti, DJ Ibusal, Sliki & Hamuelos, Fabe, and many others.  It leaves behind an exceptional legacy which includes numerous critically acclaimed and widely beloved releases that have played a central role in shaping Finland's domestic music scene. 

Warner Music Finland has long been the leading player in the country's domestic music scene, and its expertise, extensive experience, and resources will ensure that Skorpioni's legacy will live on and its catalog will be well taken care of.
