Virgin Music Artist and Label Services will provide support to Biordi’s roster of talent, advancing the reach of Australian hip-hop and R&B worldwide
 

Virgin Music Label and Artist Services Australia has today announced a global partnership with Australian Hip-Hop heavyweights, Biordi Music. The Western Sydney based label was launched in 2019 by its founder, Lowkee, and has quickly proven itself as one of the most influential entities in the rapidly growing Australian Hip Hop, R&B and Rap scenes, having amassed over 200 million streams in less than two years.

Home to R&B superstar Youngn Lipz, as well as emerging acts including: Billymaree, Bally Boy, Pistol Pete & Enzo, Ay Huncho, Masi Rooc and Nasa Nova; Biordi Music considers itself more of a family than a business. The self-funded enterprise remains strongly and authentically connected to the voices and stories behind the artistry, and now, with the support of Virgin Music Artist & Label Services will have the infrastructure to expand its brand and maximise the reach and impact of its artists and releases globally.

Lowkee, a successful entrepreneur prior to starting the label, has demonstrated a deep understanding of the streaming and music distribution landscape, as well as the importance of building a strong and active community amongst fans. Since founding, Biordi Music has built a reputation for building domestic stars and crafting undeniable hits that have truly shifted Australian music culture. Biordi Music artist, Youngn Lipz took home the Most Performed Hip Hop /Rap Work award at the 2021 APRA Awards this week for his breakout, platinum-accredited single ‘Misunderstood’, which has garnered nearly 22 million steams since its release.

Virgin Music Label & Artist Services was launched to provide artists global solutions, with fully staffed operations already established in the world’s top music markets including; the U.S., Japan, U.K., Germany, France, Australia and across Latin America, with more to launch in the coming months. Biordi Music will continue to develop their artists in partnership with Virgin Music Artist & Label Services Australia, who will also collaborate with the label across marketing and promotion for future releases, whilst providing a global infrastructure of support.
