Vevo Launches New Music Documentary Series

Vevo rolls out all-new ‘Off the Record’ music documentary series

The world’s biggest names in music to reveal all in the Vevo series

Debut documentary, Off the Record with Kasabian, premieres on May 3

Vevo, the all-premium music video and entertainment platform, has announced the roll-out of a brand new music documentary series, Off the Record – kicking off with Off the Record with Kasabian, which premieres on Vevo.com and the Vevo app on May 3.

Off the Record sees Vevo delve behind the music with some of the biggest bands and acts in the world, giving fans new and unprecedented access to the stories and lives of their favourite musicians – with exclusive live performances to boot.

The first documentary, Off the Record with Kasabian, sees front man Tom Meighan and songwriter/guitarist Sergio Pizzorno lift the lid on the band’s biggest music moments to date – right from the early days playing at ‘The Shed’ venue in their native Leicester – and perform special live renditions of tracks from upcoming album ‘For Crying Out Loud’ ahead of its release this Friday.

On their new documentary, Kasabian commented: ‘We’re on album number six now, so it feels like a good time to take a minute to look back at the story so far – as well as look ahead to what’s next.’

Vevo’s Director of Original Content Claudia de Wolff added: ‘Off the Record is a new format for Vevo - working with established artists. It's our first longer form offering in this space, building a narrative around their new material to really show fans where they are at and what's inspired their latest work.

Off the Record with Kasabian premieres on Vevo on May 3, with additional episodes and acts to be announced as part of the series.
