UK label CLOUD X partners with THE ORCHARD to "Bring Back the Essence of UK R&B"

Cloud X today announced details around its partnership deal with global music distributor The Orchard. Cloud X is the UK's first and pioneering home to under-represented Indie R&B, soul and melodic rap artists. Under this new partnership, Cloud X and The Orchard will collaborate to provide a platform for these genres by highlighting UK’s homegrown talent. These artists will also gain access to The Orchard’s full suite of comprehensive artist and label services.

Additionally, Cloud X will release upcoming projects from Kwaku Asante, Kasien and Niels through The Orchard. Furthermore, fresh off the heels of their recent announcement, Cloud X will produce its first London-based Cloud X Festival this August, which will feature Indie UK R&B artists like Jaz Karis, Santino Le Saint, A2, Kwaku Asante, Juls, Etta Bond, Henrie, Sainte, Chlobocopp and more.

David Dabieh, Cloud X said: “This partnership will allow the Cloud X recording division to focus on developing UK's No. 1 exclusive home to R&B and melodic rap. We want to champion an inclusive roster of homegrown and pioneering artists whilst maintaining full creative control and independence. This is the future of the entire music industry, and we hope to kick the door open for more self-sufficient homes across different genres.”

Ian Dutt, Managing Director, The Orchard, UK states: “The Orchard’s partnership with Cloud X is helping bring back the essence of UK R&B, and will usher in the next wave of underrepresented UK talent in the genre. We are creating a space for them to be empowered and make music that will move the needle.”
