Spinnin’ Artists Firebeatz To Release Song With A Tracklib Sample, And Judge New Producer Contest
With the discovery and development of dance music producers at its core, Tracklib (www.tracklib.com), the world’s first and only service for quickly finding and legally clearing samples, today announced a collaboration with the Dutch dance label Spinnin’ Records (https://spinninrecords.com/) to provide budding producers with creative and innovative tools.
To showcase just one way how dance producers can utilize Tracklib, Spinnin’ Records artists Firebeatz—who have remixed Rihanna, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Snoop Dogg, James Blunt, Sean Paul, and more—will release their own song created from a Tracklib sample as the first official Tracklib ambassador from the Spinnin’ Records roster.
“Spinnin’ is always on the hunt for innovative programmes that allow up-and-coming artists to flourish and experiment, and in Tracklib we foresaw that opportunity,” said Steven de Graaf, Commercial Director at Spinnin’. “What sets Tracklib apart is the ability for progressing producers to sample and create their own masterpieces from full, original and legally-cleared music created by experienced artists and expert musicians—not just sample packs or loops.”
Firebeatz will hand-pick 10 of their favorite Tracklib songs for producers to make their own song to submit in a demo contest hosted on Spinnin’s Talent Pool platform—which then Firebeatz’s Tim and Jurre will judge!—with the winning track to get an official release on Talent Pool. Firebeatz also stars in two videos showcasing how they’ve worked with Tracklib and dive deeper into their relationship with sampling music.
"We have always worked a lot with samples in our music and Tracklib is definitely a gamechanger, it makes sampling music much more accessible for all producers,” said Firebeatz.
“Electronic music producers have been an integral part of sample culture since the beginning, and we are happy to partner with Spinnin’ and Firebeatz in supporting this global community,” said Pär Almqvist, Tracklib CEO, and co-founder.
