Tixserve launches at Autonomy Music’s 10th anniversary Omeara event

New paperless ticket service helps ticket sellers tackle fraud and secondary market

Tixserve, a new paperless ticket fulfilment platform that replaces paper tickets with secure and interactive equivalents, launched last night (February 7) at Autonomy Music’s 10th Anniversary showcase.

The event saw industry figures and Autonomy Music fans descend upon London’s Omeara venue, with Tixserve acting as its official ticket fulfilment partner.

As the world’s first end-to-end ticketing fulfilment platform superseding traditional paper tickets with flexible yet secure mobile tickets, Tixserve offers ticket agents, venues, promoters, D2C players and other ticket sellers a ‘white label’ toolkit that will help beat secondary ticketing bots and fraudsters whilst enhancing customer experience.

Using the power of Tixserve’s customer data platform, ticket sellers are also able to capture valuable information on each event attendee (including all members of a group, not just the lead purchaser) creating opportunities to upsell and cross-sell in order to boost revenue.

The company was founded by highly experienced payment solution tech veterans who are bringing their expertise to the ticketing sector. At their previous company, Payzone, Tixserve MD/co-founder Patrick Kirby and CRO Simon Goodale led the charge in displacing mobile top up cards with digital solutions.

Kirby said: “Tixserve is a better way of doing paperless ticketing. Unlike current offerings in this space, our solution doesn’t involve costly and slow blanket photo ID and credit card checks at the event venue. This means the system is simple and inexpensive for venues, and customers are able to get through the gates quickly - all without sacrificing cast iron security measures that will stop bots, duplicators and fraudsters in their tracks. We look forward to working with those in the music business who want to tackle some of the biggest problems facing the live industry while at the same time improving the experience of music fans.”

As well as live music, the Tixserve platform is also available for operators in sport and theatre.

The platform uses patented technology and a range of security measures allowing partners to implement preferred features. This flexibility means event organisers can choose their own protection levels depending on the size of the event and level of risk.

Tixserve provides a variety of other benefits for various end-users. For instance, fans can digitally connect with favourite artists and teams via the ticket as well as exclusive content, merchandise and other m-commerce services, while venues will find few technical hurdles when integrating; existing scanners may be used to accept tickets, staff training is minimal and friction at the gate is reduced, with no need for ID or card checking in most cases.
